Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, True North Environmental was founded in 2002 by Vincent Day, a geological environmental consultant with twenty years of experience. Our services include, but are not limited to, groundwater consulting, underground storage tank (UST) removal and/or closure, environmental site assessments for real estate transactions, and alternative sewage treatment and disposal (drainfield consulting).

While technical expertise is vital in the consulting industry, True North is dependent upon the good graces of our clients in order to survive, flourish and succeed. Thus we take seriously this relationship and strive to be present for the needs of our clients.

The common thread that connects True North's clients is land stewardship. Our clientele includes conservation organizations, agribusiness and estate landowners, land developers, county governments, local humanitarian organizations, and private citizens. In addition, True North serves as a technical consultant to several Virginia groundwater committees and the Virginia Water Well Association.

This website describes just some of the services that we offer and provides some information for those interested in how groundwater behaves in fractured bedrock settings, how leaking underground storage tank problems are resolved, and how alternate methods of onsite waste disposal are evaluated, just to name a few.
